In Case You Missed It, State Representative Kat McGhee and State Representative and 350-NH Board Member Alissandra Murray blasted Kelly Ayotte for conveniently changing her tune on data centers.

Costly Kelly repeatedly refused to “support a statewide moratorium” on data centers, and has had months to take action. She also signed legislation that opened up the door for data centers to expand across New Hampshire. Ayotte slashed renewable energy solutions, and electricity costs have climbed 15% under her failed leadership.

State Representative Kat McGhee: “If Kelly Ayotte genuinely believed New Hampshire needed a different approach to data centers, she had every opportunity to say so months ago. So, I’ll leave you with this: Kelly Ayotte has become the poster child for the Party of Fleeting Values. Her positions change when the polls change, and her rhetoric changes when she knows voters are starting to pay attention. Kelly Ayotte can change her tune, but she cannot change her record.”

State Representative and 350-NH Board Member Alissandra Murray: “Let’s be clear about what is at stake here. These water-guzzling data centers that Kelly Ayotte has greenlit would place significant strain on our electric grid and will drive up the cost of electricity even more. Kelly Ayotte had a choice: stand up for Granite Staters paying the bills, or roll out the red carpet for an industry that will drive up costs even more for hardworking families. That is not energy justice. That is not putting ratepayers first. And it is not a serious plan for New Hampshire’s energy future.”
